Description
The Social Services Coordinator is responsible for providing direct supervision of social work staff to ensure the quality of patient care and regulatory standards are maintained in the clinical services department. Directs the implementation and ensures compliance with hospital policy and procedures. Responsible for coordinating performance improvement activities, addressing deficits, identifying new problem areas and developing plans of action. Responsible for scheduling social work shifts, hiring social work staff, training staff/interns and developing corrective action plans for employees. Responsible for assisting and maintaining the documentation of unit meetings and clinical services staff meetings. Will provide direct patient care as needed.
Requirements
Education: Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field.
Credentials: Licensure by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an LCSW or ACSW.
Experience: Three (3) years experience in mental health inpatient treat or related experience required;
One (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
